**Position title**:PR Specialist (Toronto based)
**Reports to**:SVP of Communications
Hi there We’re looking for a go-getting, critical-thinking, results-oriented, and kind-spirited PR dynamo, who loves working with the media and making a difference in the world.
You know a great story when you see one And as our PR Specialist, you’ll make it your mission to tell great stories about our industry-leading people-first culture, award-winning creative work, and world-changing digital health innovations. (Here are some past Klick stories for a little taste of what we do: Mobile Flu Shot Clinic, The Shoebox Project Art Installation, The Curious Eye Campaign, and Circulation.)
As part of our small but mighty group of roll-up-your-sleeves, fun (and funny) team members, you will juggle a multitude of media relations tasks, including:
Writing impactful media pitches and securing coverage
Overseeing our media lists and editorial calendars
Monitoring/tracking ongoing media coverage
Crafting briefing materials to help prep spokespeople for interviews
Helping to manage our e-Newsroom
Monitoring key industry trends and identifying relevant PR opportunities
Researching key industry conferences and flagging relevant speaking opportunities
**You must have**:
Passion for your craft and the stories you promote
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven track record generating earned editorial coverageStrong interpersonal, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills
Awesome attention to detail
3-5 years of PR agency experience or in-house PR team experience, ideally in a related/relevant industry
Excellent existing relationships with business/marketing media in Canada (Bonus points if you have U.S. media relations contacts, too More bonus points if you have strong health, news, and/or lifestyle press relationships)
