**Resident Support Worker**

11am-7pm (52.5 hours bi-weekly)

**additional shifts available (5am-1pm)

Grove Park Home is a not for profit and charitable organization that is comprised of 143 Long Term Care Beds, a boutique retirement property, and an Adult Day Program. **QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION**:

- Minimum grade eleven or equivalent - mandatory
- Valid Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Experience working with the elderly or in a healthcare setting - an asset
- Fully vaccinated for COVID 19 (2 vaccinations + booster)

**KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES**:

- Capable of working in a fast paced, team environment
- Ability to work with a complex and diverse elderly population including chronic illness and functional and cognitive impairments.
- Communicate with others in an effective, compassionate and supportive manner
- must be available to work 11am-7pm and every other weekend

**DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Giving assistance throughout meal service by providing feeding support to residents
- Assistance in transporting residents as required throughout the building
- Providing 1 to 1 support and companionship to residents
- Screening staff and families as they enter the building for COVID 19 related symptoms
- Escorting families throughout the building
- Sanitizing/disinfecting visiting and common areas throughout the building
- sanitizing/disinfecting of PPE

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 26.25 per week

**Salary**: $18.29 per hour
