Highland Buds located in Highland Park is hiring As an independent retailer we started in this industry with the goal of serving customers by promoting cannabis as the positive force that it is. We know that it is more than just a recreational pastime for many. We are welcoming all to embrace what good may come from learning about cannabis by being advocates and purveyors of our knowledge and experience with Cannabis. We have been growing and expanding our family to serve our ever-expanding customers.

We are looking for a part-time or full time Budtender.

**Basic Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform day-to-day operations and follow company policies and regulations
- Plan and coordinate daily workload to team members
- Handle unforeseen situations and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Authorize voids, discounts, and promotions
- Assist with maintaining and monitoring store inventory levels on a daily inventory audit rotation
- Making product recommendations based on the science of strains, cannabinoids and vendor-produced products available
- Continuously increasing their knowledge of cannabis strains and forms (flower, edibles, concentrates etc.) and cannabis accessories for sale in the store
- Accurately record and process orders into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system
- Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal age to purchase cannabis if they look under the age of 25
- Provide outstanding, accurate customer service to patrons by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns
- Work as part of a team to ensure sales, guest satisfaction and compliance goals are met by designated timelines
- Adhere to company dress code and personal appearance policy and maintain all provided necessary equipment
- Update menu and sales as required
- Intake cannabis order on a weekly basis
- Clean and maintain store front as well as back of house

**Qualifications Required**
- 2+ years’ experience in a retail or customer service position preferred
- Must be 18 years of age and recognized as a Qualified Cannabis Worker by Alberta Gaming Liquor Committee (AGLC)
- Highschool Diploma/GED or equivalent required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Basic reading, writing skills required
- Strong communication and time management skills required
- Able to manage multiple tasks at a time while under pressure

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-30 per week

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

- Customer service: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Sell Safe Certficate (required)
- Qualified Cannabis Worker License (QCW) (required)
