**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklift operation skills when required.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo information as per regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance during long hauls.
- Manage freight documentation and ensure proper handling of cargo throughout the transportation process.

**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation, including knowledge of loading/unloading procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in various driving conditions.
