Picker Packer

**Job description**

Picker/Packer is responsible for picking and packing of products for delivery. The Picker/Packer will work independently for most of the day and work as a team to get all orders out.

**Job Duties**
- Folds & tapes boxes, applies labels, packs products and stacks boxes on pallets or shipping line according to direction
- Manually lifting products first from picking line to packing table and then to shipping line
- Pick orders from racking and shelving units using a cart and bucket system
- Match outgoing product with purchase orders for accuracy and expiry dates
- Participate in inventory counts
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Follow current standards and procedures
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, safety regulations and cleanliness standards
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Secondary Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Strong reading comprehension skills (English)
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must have Warehouse experience
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Must be able to stay at attention and focused for entire shift - working with packing tools (tape gun/machine, scissors and box openers) and equipment (could be dangerous otherwise)

**Working Conditions**
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Involves repetitive motions (pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, grasping, etc)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Safety shoes required
