**About the Role**

As a Loss Prevention Officer with Securiguard, you'll be more than just a security presence-you'll be a frontline ambassador of safety and trust in the retail environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are observant, proactive, and committed to protecting people, property, and reputations. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll use investigative techniques, real-time surveillance, and strong customer service to help reduce theft and loss, while promoting a welcoming and secure environment for staff and guests. **What you would do**:

- Monitoring for suspicious behavior through both mobile and static surveillance to prevent theft and other security risks.
- Apprehending and safely detaining shoplifters when necessary, including making arrests where required, in accordance with legal and company protocols.
- Completing thorough and accurate incident reports at the end of each shift.
- Maintaining a visible security presence across multiple store locations, depending on operational needs.
- Collaborating with fellow officers and store staff, while also being comfortable working independently.
- Managing difficult or high-stress situations with professionalism and a calm, steady approach.
- Standing and remaining attentive during shifts of up to 8 hours.

**Job Requirements**
- Valid BC Security Worker License
- Advanced Security Training preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of security industry experience
- Minimum of 6 months of loss prevention experience
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA Level 1) or equivalent
- Must be flexible to work in multiple stores/locations
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour period
