Full-time Facilities Specialist

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 5,900 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.
**Qualifications**:
High school diploma required
Related post-secondary education preferred
Knowledge of school board/government capital planning and operations considered an asset
Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple and competing activities, meet deadlines and respond to emergent issues with mínimal direction
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to perform duties with professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to work and solve problems independently; as well as, within a team environment
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel, and Google Suite
Knowledge of accounting principles and processes including invoicing, purchase orders, general ledger accounts, and journal entries
**Responsibilities**:
Processing of general accounting functions for the Facilties Department in a timely and accurate manner
Assist with Tendering process (including issuing tenders to vendors and posting into Alberta Purchasing Connection)
Complete purchase card reconciliation for Facility Department staff
Processing of work orders in the Asset Planner System
Assist with the managment of Capital Projects (including maintaining project lists, tracking funding and preparing final reporting documentation)
Act as main/first contact for Facilities Department (i.e. handle facilities related inquiries/issues, manage and track keys and access cards, sign out keys for schools)
**General office administration duties including**: electronic filing, scanning, handling incoming/outgoing mail, updating phone and contact lists

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $51,744.48 to $69,255.00 per year.
