Marketing Liaison and Merchandise Reporting Manager

**What You'll Do;**

As the Marketing Liaison and Merchandise Reporting Manager for Sporting Life (SL), you will provide business intelligence to support the Merchandising Vice Presidents across our apparel, footwear and hardgoods categories.

Drawing on your strong analytical experience you will report on the effectiveness of merchandising and marketing activities and work across the business in the follow through of key operational initiatives and activities directly impacting our ability to serve our customers' needs.
- Provides dashboard reporting on the performance of key activities and initiatives within Merchandising and identifies opportunities for improvement through internal coordination, communication or stakeholder engagement.
- Manages a scorecard for merchandising activities on core performance including shipping, zero sales and min-max reporting. Provides insight and actionable strategies based on these reports.
- Provides commentary and insight into financial performance and contributes to roadmap planning based on these financial assessments.
- Executes the promo-planning and deal of the day within Merchandising, Operations and Marketing ensuring compliance and adherence to these activities.
- Consolidates and communicates weekly, monthly and seasonally merchant marketing initiatives to the marketing and operations teams. Acts as the key contact between marketing and merchant teams.
- Attends cross-functional meetings and ensures clarity on key activities and flow of information, acts a focal point for enquiries on execution.
- Collaborate with the store, buyer and planning teams on the implementation of assortment, allocation, space and replenishment strategies.
- Assist stores with questions related to price changes/receiving/promotions.

**What You'll Bring;**
- Post-secondary education (University preferred) with a focus on retail, marketing or finance.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in retail planning, buying or merchandising.
- Advanced excel and the ability to manage large data sets.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze data and provide insight and solutions.
- Detailed orientated with a sense of urgency to follow-up.
- Ability to multi-task and easily adapt to current business trends.
- Business knowledge of retail inventory management, merchandising concepts and operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
