**Duties**
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative dishes and accommodating special dietary needs
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision using knife skills and cooking techniques suitable for different cuisines and meal types
- Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to customers or residents
- Participate in food preparation activities such as chopping, mixing, portioning, and plating to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all food safety regulations diligently to prevent contamination and ensure the highest standards of hygiene are upheld
- Collaborate with team members to optimize kitchen workflow and improve overall service delivery

**Skills**
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or hospitality settings
- Strong background in menu planning and meal preparation tailored to diverse dietary requirements
- Extensive culinary experience with fine dining or restaurant environments preferred
- Skilled in food handling, cooking techniques, and food safety practices across various cuisines
- Excellent knife skills for efficient prep work and precision cutting
- Experience in food service operations including serving, plating, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to catering, meal prep, and kitchen management
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
- Familiarity with food safety certifications and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
