- Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Assist cook with daily preparation menu items
- Wash and chop vegetables, clean seafood, and prepare other ingredients before for cooking
- General garbage removal and recycling
- Follow safety standards for storing, handling, and preparing food
- Maintaining a clean work environment and ensure the kitchen meets sanitation standards
- All duties will be performed in accordance with the Fairmont Empress’ commitment to luxury service standards

Employment Qualifications and Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school
- Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain before the employment start date
- Physically capable of: Continuous standing for extended periods of time, frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs, working in hot and cold station environments
- Your Skills Include:
- Fluent English language and communication skills
- Be capable of taking direction
