Reporting to the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager, the Purchasing and Logistics Analyst is responsible for purchasing of materials and services required for the Canadian Safety and Medical busines operations. The incumbent manages relationships with all suppliers, resolves supplier issues and optimizes suppliers' performance, and completes the annual supplier evaluation. They act as the interface for internal and external purchasing and monitors and corrects all SAP idoc issues. This position also provides administrative support to the Purchasing and Warehouse Manager on inventory counts and cycle counts. It supports all virtual entries with the Demo in SAP and stock movements for Service Technicians.
Main Accountabilities:
- Accountable for ensuring uninterrupted supply of quality materials and services in a cost-effective manner. Ensures material availability by considering inventory goals and process optimization. Completes all TSR inventory request movements in SAP.
- Responsible for transactional processing within the ERP system by creating requisitions and purchase orders for external & internal purchases based on production requirements and other business requirements.Investigates and clears SAP idoc errors for TSR orders created manually or via the interface.
- Monitors delivery time of orders and vendor performance for indirect/direct materials. Builds and publishes the annual Global CO2 Emissions Report via the online portal.
- Maintains Supplier Matrix. Responsible for New Supplier setup. Completes annual supplier evaluation and reports results to the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager and Quality & Regulatory Affairs Director.
- Assists in the identification and tracking of all medical loaner equipment and supports medical Service Support team in the timely return of all Loner units, and updates SAP where applicable.
- Assists the Purchasing Manager with inventory related projects and cycle counts throughout the year for all warehouse stock and all TSR inventories and publishes results from SAP into an excel data base for both Medical and Safety.
- Assists in audit readiness throughout the year, supporting the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager and reviews of all standard local warehouse SOPs where required. Cleans up all demo records for medical equipment from an SAP and Demo tool aspect and supports the development of new launch of demo tool for the medical business.
**Your Qualifications**
**Education**:
- Post secondary degree or diploma, preferrably in business or 5-7 years experience in a relevant field.
Related Experience:
- Minimum 3 year of related purchasing / supply chain experience.
Special Competencies/Certifications:
- SAP knowledge preferred
- A “roll up your sleeves” operating style.
- Proactive and proficient in managing time and priorities.
- Attention to details and high level of accuracy.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of disciplines and levels both internally and externally (local, regional, global).
- Ability to work independently with mínimal direction/supervision.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- The position is based in Mississauga, Ontario. Remote work would be considered.
- Time is spent in meetings and sitting for long periods in front of a computer terminal in a smoke-free environment.Travel to customers sites or for training may be required.
- Some tasks will be conducted in the warehouse/inventory area which requires appropriate safety precautions and PPE.
