Mainline Excavator Operator

We are expanding our team and currently seeking an experienced **Water/Sewer and earthworks mainline excavator operato**r. 5+ years of experienced preferred and able to display competent skills for final cut. Must carry a **valid driver's** license and have own transportation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Safe operation of equipment and work practices.
- Ensure quality control for all workmanship
- Completion of equipment inspection reports on a daily basis for approvals
- Follow ALL company procedures and report any incidents
- Perform additional tasks as may be required

**Required Skills**:

- Thorough understanding of construction equipment and methodology required to efficiently install underground pipe and structures.
- Must have knowledge of **water, storm and sanitary procedures**.
- Extensive knowledge of **civil construction**, load securement, hoisting, rigging and lifting techniques/procedures
- Strong communications skillset
- Ability to work with various personalities and provide clear direction

Required Experience/Certification:

- In depth experience with locates and working around existing utilities
- Works well independently and with others.
- Experience with trench boxes/cages
- Safety training (First Aid, Ground Disturbance, WHIMIS, CSTS, etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Mainline Excavator Operator : 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
