**LEASING COORDINATOR - OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the VP Real Estate - the Leasing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the VP Real Estate with existing lease portfolio, coordinating lease renewals, and managing leasing software.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review lease renewal proposals and review negotiated business terms with VP Real Estate to ensure the financial terms of the lease meet with company/franchise partner budgets
- Maintains leasing status report and provides weekly updates
- Tracks critical dates including lease expiries, renewal option deadlines, possession date and commencement dates.
- Reviews rent schedules from landlords to ensure charges are applied in accordance to the lease and communicating any changes to franchise partners and accounting department for corporate rent roll
- Reviews monthly rent roll to ensure correct payment made to landlords
- Maintains database with respect to lease information for all stores
- Ensures dates set out in agreements are met with respect to fixturing and commencement.
- Gathers documentation required for billing of tenant allowance.
- Contacts landlords for monthly statements and updates arrears reports.
- Ensure proper insurance is in place for all locations
- Maintains property index and lease correspondence files.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- 3 years experience in retail real estate
- Strong negotiation skills and analytical ability
- Excellent communications, organizational and mathematical skills
- Customer service focused
- Ability to work well under pressure and work independently as well as part of a team.
- High level of integrity
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong multi-tasker with aptitude for quickly shifting between priorities.
