Dog Trainer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for providing training and behavior modification services to dogs and their owners. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a love for animals and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.

Duties Include but not Limited to:

- Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of all ages and breeds
- Assess dog behavior and develop customized training plans to address specific needs
- Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel ect
- Assist with behavior modification techniques to address issues
- Educate dog owners on proper handling techniques and effective training methods
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to dog owners to ensure successful training outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and training sessions
- Manage the structured daycare dog training program (training dogs each day working independently)
- General labour, cleaning and maintenance
- Caring for puppies/raising litters of puppies
- Helping team mates with other duties and being an overall team player.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Dog Trainer or in a related field is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, training techniques,
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both dogs and their owners
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds, including those with behavioral challenges
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
