Oakpark Powerline is currently seeking an experienced Civil Lead Hand to join their team.

**Job Duties**
- Reports to Civil Foreman
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and underground locate packages
- Provide direction to your assigned crew
- Ensure work is being performed efficiently:

- Correct number of workers
- Correct type and amount of equipment
- Do material take-offs for small materials (lumber, wire lengths, hardware, consumables, etc), provide material list to Foreman and/or Project Manager for procurement
- Assess worker performance, provide training, and utilize disciplinary action if required
- Fill out timesheets for your crew, ensure it is filled out correctly using job numbers
- Complete in collaboration with the site safety rep a JHA daily, updating if tasks or conditions change, review with all staff on site
- Conduct site inspections monthly for jobs lasting more than 5 days
- Conduct a weekly toolbox talks on-site
- Ensure inspections are completed for all PPE and equipment prior to use
- Provide and record training as required in areas of expertise
- Consult with superintendent where any operations where the conditions or methods of operation could create serious risk of injury or environmental damage
- Participate in site inspections, audits, investigations and corrective action monitoring/completion
- Arrange crews to arrive and depart shop and be at the work site in a timely manner
- Participate in weekly Lead Hand meetings with associated Foreman
- Ensure equipment are maintained and Foreman and/or Shop Manager are notified of any breakdowns

**Job Qualification Requirements and Assets**
- 5 years experience in civil work enviornment
- Ability to travel out of town for work
- Class 5 license
- Class 3 license an asset

Oakpark Powerline is located on Highway 75, 5 miles south of St. Norbert.
