**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare customer orders, picking product, securing on the skid and banding and wrapping according to weather and loading conditions.
- Prepare vehicle for delivery. Verify that all products are securely loaded and protected from the elements and all accompanying paperwork is available.
- Perform circle-checks and complete logbook entries.
- Operate vehicle to transport material to private homes and construction sites, following the rules of the road and representing the company to the highest standards.
- Safety unload product/material at private homes and construction sites, etc., and carry product/material to required area.
- Operate two-way radio and cell phone to receive instructions and provide status updates.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including documenting daily inspections and ensuring safety equipment, straps and paperwork are in place.
- Advise Shipping Dispatcher of shortages or damaged goods.
- Follow proper documentation procedures for any merchandise that is to be returned or refused.
- Provide excellent customer service when delivering products and/or supplies to customers, vendors, jobsites, or other corporate locations.
- Report complaints from customers to management.
- Maintain professional behaviour at all times and behaves in a manner befitting company policy and expectations.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Valid DZ driver’s license (or equivalent) with a **minimum three years** of experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
- 0-8-ton mobile crane certification with a minimum of two years of experience is an asset.
- Must maintain a good driving record and lawfully operate all company vehicles used to make deliveries.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required daily.
- Must be familiar with basic home building construction in order to sequence loads.
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to understand customer requirements and provide satisfactory solutions.
- Shift flexibility and willingness to work overtime depending on season, workload, etc.
- Dedicated, hardworking and very detail-oriented.
- Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere and have positive relations with customers and colleagues.
- Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- **Please note**: Reliable transportation is essential as Chemong Home Hardware Building Centre is not on a bus route.
