_Quality Control Technician needed for a large manufacturer and master distributor of the most dependable products for the plumbing and heating industry. CB Supplies Ltd. manufactures polyethylene potable water and radiant heating pipe._

**We are looking for a full-time Quality Control Technician**

The QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that PEX and PE-RT tubing products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role involves performing various quality control tests, documenting findings, and communicating with production teams to maintain product integrity during the afternoon shift.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Control Testing**:

- Conduct routine and non-routine tests on PEX and PE-RT tubing products, including dimensional checks, pressure tests, and material analysis.
- Perform in-line inspections to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other QC tools to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Accurately record test results and maintain detailed QC logs and reports.
- Identify and document any deviations from quality standards and communicate findings to the Quality and Procurement Manager and production team.
- Assist in the preparation of quality control documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- **Process Monitoring**:

- Monitor the extrusion process to ensure consistent quality and identify potential issues before they impact product quality.
- Collaborate with production operators to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure all quality control activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate JHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committee) personnel immediately.
- **General Housekeeping**:

- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Discard waste into appropriate streams (recycling, landfill, chemical).

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or extrusion environment.
- Strong understanding of PEX and PE-RT tubing products and their quality requirements.
- Proficient in using QC instruments and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and other industrial conditions.
