AGEIAS is a process development and engineering company focused on the scale up of chemical process from lab to pilot scale. Our multi-disciplinary team supports clients through process development work, including laboratory and test stand studies, and through traditional process engineering design of pilot and demonstration plants.

We are looking for a Research Process Chemist to provide their expertise and experience to support the process development and scale up of inorganic speciality chemicals.

**Key responsibilities include the development, management, and execution of literature and lab-based research plans to**:

- Develop process chemistry and engineering knowledge to further the fundamental understanding of reaction pathways, mechanisms, and intrinsic behaviour
- Generate and analyse process and lab data to support engineering scale up designs
- Provide input regarding the direction and execution of laboratory projects
- Support process development activities by recommending laboratory work required to proceed with engineering designs

**Required Skills, Education, and Experience**:

- M.S./Ph.D. in Chemistry, Inorganic or Physical Chemistry or related with good working knowledge of Chemical Engineering and Physical Chemistry
- 5+ years experience in chemical process R&D with demonstrated high performance
- Knowledge of scientific research methods and experimental design
- Good working knowledge of analytical methods and instrumentation
- Strong communication, organization, and planning skills with a high level of technical aptitude and creativity and ability to advise other researchers performing chemical and physical testing
- Hands-on experience working on lab-based scale-up projects and troubleshooting scale-up issues from gram to multi-kilo quantities
- Proven track record in identifying and optimizing safe, scalable process routes that focus on quality products
- Experience in inorganic synthesis and characterization required
- Experience in electro-chemistry an asset
