**Summer Student, Data Analysis & Accounting Support**
Join the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island this summer and contribute to vital data-driven insights We're looking for a proactive student to digitize, organize, and analyze financial and statistical information.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Digitizing financial and statistical data from physical documents with accuracy.
- Developing and implementing an effective structure for digital data storage.
- Ensuring data accuracy by identifying and correcting errors.
- Importing the data to a software such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Analyzing data to identify key trends and patterns, such as revenue/expense changes and demographic shifts.
- Exploring correlations between financial data and demographic factors.
- Helping to pinpoint demographic groups for potential outreach.
- Contributing to the identification of community needs and parish opportunities.
**Qualifications**
- Understanding of data management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Ability to read financial statements is an asset.
This summer position offers valuable experience in data management, analysis, and understanding the dynamics of a community-based organization.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
