Regional Safety Manager is responsible for leading a Regional or District Safety team to a Best in Class Standard. Effectively managing safe work in accordance to local regulations and Chandos Safe work procedures.

Lead, Coach and Manage direct reports in an assigned area or district of responsibility
- Communicate and interact with provincial and federal agencies requiring deliverable reporting including Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Emergency Services
- Develop and execute effective relevant procedures to further enhance the program
- Implement change as based on leading indicators and statistical metrics
- Develop a sound company safety culture working with all levels and departments of Chandos
- Applies expertise to assess risk and solve problems of varying construction tasks
- Participates in project start up meetings and understands the scope of work on projects
- Provides guidance and oversight on incident investigations and potentially severe near misses

**Qualifications**
- 7+ years of commercial and industrial construction experience
- National Construction Safety Officer Designation or HSE degree or Safety Diploma
- 2+ years in a Safety Management role
- Demonstrated Leadership abilities
- Possess a thorough understanding of 3rd Party pre-quals, including, IsNet, Avetta, Contractor Check.
- Travel is required throughout the Ontario region
