**Job Description**:
Supporting the Manager, Finance Optimization for the development and analysis of annual and 5 year budgets and forecasts.

Prepares supporting documents, schedules and footnotes as needed in preparation of the Company’s annual budget and coordinates and provides data and information to the departments as requested.

Working closely with the cost accountants and mine site management, and the finance department to support accurate cost and capital reporting.

Review of monthly cost performance measures provided by the mine site.

Provide variance analysis on cost performance relative to budget and forecast on a quarterly and annual basis.

Identify and investigate and report on forecast changes.

Track capital expenditures in comparison to the capital budget and forecast as well as management authorizations.

Provide assistance/guidance in preparation of authorization for expenditures reports.

Provide assistance with review or purchase requisitions in approvals, as well as monitor and improve controls surrounding procurement process.

Assist departments with project and cost center setup and costing.

Assist with internal and external audits as required.

Assist with process improvement and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience

Professional accounting designation, or working towards a professional accounting designation.

Minimum of five (5) years financial experience, with preference given to individuals with experience in a mining or manufacturing environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in an industrial environment.

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead others.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organization skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and to adhere to strict deadlines.

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision in a dynamic environment.

Strong time management skills, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of IFRS.

Experience with Excel.

Position ideally based out of the Thunder Bay office located in the city of Thunder Bay or based out of Toronto with 1-2 trips to the Thunder Bay office or site, per month. A valid Ontario driver’s license is required to facilitate independent travel to/from the mine site.
