Job Overview

A great opportunity to demonstrate your marketing and fundraising strengths in a not-for-profit organization with a wonderful brand: Terry Fox. The position will allow you to develop a communication plan that is measurable and tangible to be followed up with implementing the plan to raise funds for this great cause.

As the fundraising and marketing specialist, you can sharpen your social media marketing skills by creating and scheduling dynamic content and tracking analytics.

You will also gain experience in event planning

Overall summary:
Build a communication plan focused on reaching fundraising targets set

Create, manage and participate in numerous summer online and in person fundraising events in Sudbury

Manage all communication channels with ongoing improvement of participation and donations

Qualifications:
Applicants must live in the Greater Area of Sudbury

Fundraising experience. College marketing in both digital & event management. Excellent grasp of marketing a brand with attention to detail and professionalism

Project management with objective & strategies that are measurable. Social channel online expertise. Excellent communications skills, including web/social writing. Outgoing with strong interpersonal skills are key for raising money and encouraging participation in The Terry Fox Run and for event interaction. Graphic design and photography skills. Outstanding video creation & editing proficiency. Animation skills an asset.

Per the Canada Summer Jobs Articles of Agreement:
Position begins: June 9, 2024

Length & time: 10 to 30 hours per week, 10 to 16 weeks

Successful applicant must be:
a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred; and someone who may legally work according to the relevant Ontario legislation & regulations. Please note that international students are not eligible to apply.

Pay: Up to $19.10 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
