Cornerstone has an opening for a full-time seasonal (May to the end of October) Chef de Partie. Our new hire will contribute to the success of Cornerstone Weddings, Cornerstone Catering, and Cornerstone Cafe. Working closely and supporting the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef, and the Sous Chef, the person in this role will ensure food is prepared and presented to the Cornerstone standard and that the levels of cleanliness and sanitation for food preparation in the kitchen are adhered to. In the absence of the Chefs, the person in this role will supervise kitchen staff. Depending on operational needs, work location will be either Cornerstone Theatre or at our Canmore Nordic Centre locations.

We are looking for an individual with previous experience working as a Sous Chef or line Cook; formal culinary training would be favoured but is not required.

A valid FoodSafe or a food sanitation and hygiene course certificate recognized by Alberta Health Services is required to work in this position, as is current WHMIS certification (this training can be provided). First Aid certification would be an asset.

The individual in this role must be reliable, well organized, professional, and enjoy working within a small team.

**Duties include**:

- Preparing food to recipe specifications for events and functions at the Cornerstone Theatre, the Canmore Nordic Centre, for off-site catering events, and for the Cafe.
- Ensuring ingredients and supplies are prepared and served according to food and health safety requirements.
- Putting away and storing food orders and supplies safely and promptly.
- Ensuring that work areas, cooking and storage equipment are kept clean and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Supervising kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef.
- Responding immediately and appropriately to any situations, including emergency situations, that may arise at the venue during, following, or in preparation for an event.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
