We are looking for an ambitious General Manager that will manage the Trend Mountain Hotel & Conference Centres' overall day-to-day operations through maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees all the while, exceeding guest expectations and connecting to the community.

This well compensated position may include Housing and Accommodation.

Full Job Responsibilities stated below.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
Completes full duties of day-to-day operations including; customer service, marketing, sales, financial accounting, and human resources.
- Creates the hotel’s Business Plan, annual budget and monitors the performance of the hotel throughout the year.
- Ensures all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships, including liaison with the property owners.
- Develops and leads sales strategies discussions, meetings and plans for rooms and food and beverage division.
- Responds quickly to changing market conditions and revises strategies accordingly.
- Manages sales and all sources of revenue to include rooms, catering and meeting rooms, food and beverage.
- Maximize room revenues by utilizing yield management techniques and third-party online travel agents.
- Develops, pursues and follows leads of business coming to the area and drives business into the property.
- Knows key account executives and business base and sets monthly production levels for sales.
- Plans and oversees the marketing strategies for the hotel including but not limited to; engaging internal and external stakeholders and building relationships to drive business.
- Creates local, regional and national marketing plans and pricing strategies and knows market segments.
- Creates and maintains social media experience, including response customer online reviews.
- Analyzes monthly financial reports and knows at all times where the hotel stands against budget.
- Manages Employee Services functions of the hotel by controlling turnover, motivating employees, focusing on employee development and retention, performance management and conducting regular employee meetings.
- Protects the hotel and its assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
- Ensures positive customer experience and service and responds quickly and appropriately to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Must be familiar with Franchise agreements and oversee the brand standards.

- Strong sales experience with proven ability to plan, develop and execute sales strategies with sales team to improve market penetration.
- Strong marketing experience with proven ability to plan, develop and execute marketing strategies.
- Have training or strong track record in yield management.
- Strong background and experience in food and beverage.
- Strong human resources knowledge, with experience recruitment, retention, performance management and labour relations.
- Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to prepare annual budgets and financial reports.
- Proven excellent overall leadership, supervisory and management skills.
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written using tact and diplomacy.
- Strong Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook skills.
- Strong social media capabilities, response and use of Trip Advisor, Instagram, etc.
- Trained in the use of various hotel software and PMS as well 3rd Party software systems
- Must have excellent customer service skills, integrity and ability to take initiative.
- Must have strong problem solving and team building skills with the ability to build partnerships with stakeholders.

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
