**Overview**:
Are you interested in working with transitional aged youth between the ages of 16-24 in a goal orientated, residential setting? If so, Crisis Centre North Bay’s Futures Housing Program is looking for an energetic, independent professional with strong leadership qualities to work on a casual part-time basis.
**Hours of Operation**:
Futures is a residential program that operates 24 hour per day 7 days a week. As a Residential Counselor, shifting requires days, evenings, nights and weekends availability.
**Qualifications**:
- College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant social service field
- Residential experience working in a similar setting is preferred
- Exemplary emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and in written format
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which can be physically demanding
- Knowledge of community resources pertinent to this unique group of individuals (YES, Ontario Works, CAS, community-based addictions and mental health services etc.)
- Excellent judgement, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability
- Ability to establish, support and motivate goal setting
- Experience in facilitating groups and workshops and providing coaching and mentorship
- Knowledge and experience working with evidence informed programming
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to form and maintain strong professional relationships
- Crisis prevention and intervention skills considered an asset
- Suicide intervention training considered an asset
- Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset

**Aperçu**
Souhaitez-vous travailler avec des jeunes de 16 à 24 ans qui en sont à l’étape de la transition dans un cadre résidentiel axé sur les objectifs? Si tel est le cas, le Programme de logement Résidences Futures du Centre de crise de North Bay est à la recherche d’un professionnel énergique et indépendant doté de solides qualités de leadership qui pourra travailler à temps partiel, occasionnellement.
**Heures d’ouverture**
Futures est un programme résidentiel opérationnel 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7. À titre de conseiller(ère) en résidence, vous pourriez être appelé(e) à travailler par rotation, en suivant un horaire qui comprend des quarts de jour, de soir, de fin de semaine et de nuit.
**Qualités requises**
- Diplôme d’études collégiales ou grade universitaire dans un domaine qui traite des services sociaux pertinents.
- Expérience de travail dans un contexte résidentiel semblable préférée.
- Intelligence émotionnelle et habiletés interpersonnelles exemplaires.
- Excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
- Capacité à œuvrer dans un milieu où le travail s’effectue rapidement, ce qui peut être exigeant sur le plan physique.
- Connaissance des ressources communautaires qui concernent ce groupe unique de personnes (YES, Ontario au travail, services d’aide à l’enfance, services de lutte contre les dépendances et de santé mentale en milieu communautaire, etc.).
- Jugement sûr, habiletés en résolution de problèmes et solides capacités de prise de décisions.
- Capacité à établir et à soutenir des objectifs et à assurer la motivation requise pour les atteindre.
- Expérience de l’animation de groupes et d’ateliers, de l’encadrement et du mentorat.
- Connaissance et expérience du travail dans des programmes guidés par les données probantes.
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et à faire partie d’une équipe.
- Capacité à établir et à entretenir de solides relations professionnelles.
- Les habiletés en prévention et intervention en cas de crise sont un atout.
- La formation sur les interventions en matière de suicide est un atout.
- Le bilinguisme (français-anglais) est un atout.
- Vérification satisfaisante du casier judiciaire et vérification de l’habilitation à travailler auprès de personnes vulnérables.
