Job Responsibilities:

- Work closely with management and production supervisors to ensure completion of tasks and inspections
- Follow a sanitation scheduled to make sure that all equipment and areas are cleaned on a regular basis
- Execute and monitor plant sanitation processes and methods;
- Promote all plant safety, GMP, and food safety policies and procedures
- Schedule plant wide cleaning and sanitation actively to ensure compliance with all regulatory procedures for sanitation, housekeeping and readiness for the next day's production;
- Monitor equipment condition through scheduled food safety preventive maintenance and inspections;
- Perform all responsibilities following established GMP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety policies and procedures;
- Clean production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures/ Manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain accurate and legible cleaning records
- Ensure that all tools/utensils, equipment, and areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
- Follow all:

- Food Safety Management System Policies and Procedures
- Sanitation Procedures
- Safety Procedures
- Effectively communicate all relevant information to the production management
- Immediately report any and all safety and quality problems to management

Skills/Work Experience Needed:

- High School or GDP equivalent
- Sanitation experience in industrial bakery/food production facility: 3 years (required)
- Knowledge of and can work with chemicals
- Knowledgeable on dry/wet cleaning process
- Able to read, write, comprehend English
- Able to effectively communicate with co-workers
- Ability to read and understand all production documents.
- Work independently; self-managed
- Knowledge of Food Handling/ GMP / HACCP /WHMIS

Physical Environment:

- Able to lift 40kg
- Able to stand and move around for lengthy periods of time
- **_Weekend availability is must._**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
