triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking an **ESL Instructor** to join our team at the **Mississauga campus located inside Square One Mall**.
**Primary** **Purpose**:
The primary purpose of the ESL Instructor is to plan, organize and deliver curricula to international students in an instructor led environment. The ESL Instructor will be responsible to teach and facilitate English courses and workshops to **international** students.
The instructor will provide ongoing feedback to students and evaluate student performance relating to the curricula using a variety of assessments.
The role will be responsible for coordinating, mentoring, and monitoring students from TESL education programs who are completing their required TESL practicum requirements to be TESL Certified. The instructor will assist with activities to support student success and administrative functions where required.
The ESL Instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Preparation of daily lesson plans.
- Instructs assigned courses in accordance with course competencies.
- Oversees courses delivered by ESL volunteer instructors.
- Develop and/or utilize a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of the students.
- Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, attendance policies, and provides students with a copy of the course outline to review.
- Provides 1-1 tutoring for students.
- Encourage and drives participation in ESL enrollments by coordinating with students and instructors to promote the program.
- Keeping archives of student work and correspondence (if necessary), and maintaining and reporting student participation, evaluations/grades as possible.
- Assisting with corporate communication.
- Assisting the Student Service Coordinator with setting up and/or speaking at campus events.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- TESL Canada Professional Certification is required.
- Ontario Certified English Language Teacher (OCELT) designation is preferred.
- Degree or diploma related in English is preferred.
- 3 years of experience working in an ESL role is required.
- Adult education and teaching experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Canva considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Fluent English communication skills (oral and written) are mandatory.
**Hours of Work**:
This position is a permanent full-time opportunity. Hours of work will be 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
**Start Date**:
The scheduled start date for this opportunity is **immediate**.
