Prosthetist and Orthotist

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Perform clinical assessments to determine appropriate bracing or orthotic solutions for a wide range of conditions (orthopedic, post-surgical, sports, neurological, etc.)
- Fit and adjust custom and prefabricated braces, including spinal, knee, wrist, ankle, and upper extremity devices
- Educate clients on brace use, care, and expected outcomes
- Work collaboratively with referring practitioners to support treatment goals and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records
- Participate in product selection, vendor communication, and inventory support for bracing supplies
- Assist with building the bracing program within the clinic, including client education materials and service promotion
- Provide follow-up assessments and modifications as needed for client comfort and function

**Skills**
- Certified Orthotist (CO(c)) and in good standing with **Orthotics Prosthetics Canada** or appropriate regulatory body
- Strong clinical skills in biomechanical assessment and brace fitting
- Experience working with both custom and prefabricated bracing solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centered approach
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and confident in documenting and tracking outcomes
- Familiarity with compression garments or interest in expanding into post-surgical and oncology care is considered an asset
- Interest in helping grow a specialized bracing service line is highly valued

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week
