**Job description**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct support to youth in accordance with their Plan of Care
- Engage with youth in a respectful and empathetic manner, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Collaborate with other team members, families, and agencies to deliver effective care and services
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Support the development and implementation of care plans, working with families and other professionals

**Requirements**:

- Background in social work, youth services, or related field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledgeable of Plan of Care and related documentation
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Vulnerable Sector Check Police Clearance
- Completion of UMAB (Universal Model of Aggression) training course (if available, a weekend course can be completed)
- Ability to build positive relationships with youth and demonstrate patience and understanding
- Flexible, organized, and capable of working independently and as part of a team

**Preferred**:

- Experience working with youth in a support or social services role
- Additional certifications or training related to youth services

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pickering, ON L1V 1B5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- child and youth worker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
