The Swamper/Tire Collection, under the direction of the Collection Driver, will be responsible for assisting the collection driver in the loading of tires into collection trailers. Essential competencies key to this role are attention to detail, commitment to health and safety, teamwork and cooperation.

Compensation & Benefits
- Wage: $25.77 after 3 months
- Boot/Clothing Allowance
- Extended Medical/Dental plan after 3 months

Essential Job Duties
- Guide truck into narrow, confined areas. Act as flag person when backing in from street where other traffic is present.
- Read maps. Assist in planning route for efficient use of time..
- Stack tires following proper lacing procedure to maximize use of space on truck.
- Load and unload quickly and efficiently.
- Communicate courteously with store operators and employees wherever necessary in the course of picking up tires.
- Perform all functions observing all relevant safety practices.
- Other duties as required.

Job Requirements
- Grade 10 education or equivalent.
- Some experience in a labouring capacity or equivalent.
- Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability work closely with others in a safe manner.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Ability to understands and follows directions.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Work Conditions
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
- Riding as passenger in vehicle for prolonged amount of time in varying weather conditions

Pay: $25.77 per hour
