The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking for an experienced Web Administrator who would be a key member of the web team and is responsible for coordinating, developing and maintaining the web presence across a variety of online platforms and technology stacks, as well as advising on web technology strategies and best practices.
**Overall responsibilities would include**:
- Create, upload and maintain content on our Client’s website in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate ongoing website reviews and updates with various divisions
- Conduct reviews and identify opportunities to improve usability, SEO, accessibility and web technology performance
- Provide quality assurance and brand consistency for our Client’s online presence and products
- Ensure web presence is compliant with relevant legislation, such as the _Official Languages Act_ (OLA), _Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act_ (AODA), _Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act_ (PIPEDA), website privacy and terms of use
- Ensure that corporate online presence reflects best practices in information architecture, SEO, user experience and overall usability
- Provide analysis that includes exploration, feasibility and recommendations for web-based solutions based on requirements and best practices
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices through scanning industry trends, tracking emerging technology and participating in forums and user groups
- Create, update and maintain web documentation, guidelines and processes as they relate to general web operation and web asset domain management
- Contribute to briefing materials for senior leadership to inform decisions about our Clietn’s web products and presence
- Consult with internal colleagues to identify project and operational needs, requirements and capacities that may impact web-based products
- Coordinate contracts of external vendors and assist with budget management for web services and support
- Create and execute project work plans for web-based products
- Serve as the primary contact for all web-based technology requests by various divisions
- Provide backup support to other web team roles as required
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, web development, information systems, information technology or related discipline
- Minimum five years of experience in website and tools development using technologies such as JavaScript, PHP,.Net, HTML and CSS
- Experience working with current corporate web technologies and content management systems, such as Drupal and WordPress, and online learning management systems
- Working knowledge of legislation impacting web-based resources (e.g., PIPEDA, AODA, OLA, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation [CASL], General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR])
- Knowledge and experience in web design standards, APIs, AI/ML, JSON, XML, UX and usability best practices
- Knowledge of data visualization tools, database design, automation and reporting
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience leading projects and providing guidance to project teams
- Experience with vendor management for software and hosting providers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying new technologies
**Assets**:
- Bilingualism in English and French
- Certification in project management or cloud computing
- Knowledge of maintaining and publishing collections of electronic resources
