Events & Conferences are now back at the Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon, and we are excited to build our Banquet Team. As a Banquet Supervisor you will assist the Banquet Manager in daily operations servicing our events, meetings, and conferences. This Supervisory position will lead our service team to execute brilliantly on the floor exceeding guest expectations. As the a Supervisor you will be the on-site point of contact for the convener ensuring their needs are taken care of for their meetings and events.

Your attributes must be defined as customer service focused with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle changes efficiently and professionally. In this role you will coach, motivate, and develop Banquet associates ensuring service standards are adhered to and expectations of the client are exceeded.

Although you are a floor Supervisor, you must be able to balance administrative functions during your shift which entail billing through the Catering and Point of Sale systems, requisitioning/balancing bars, communication logs, and function room inspections.

Open availability required as shifts may alter between days and evenings depending on business volumes. This position is full time, with a guaranteed hourly rate of $16 per hour plus gratuities which can range from $5-$6/hour

Qualifications:

- 2 years’ experience in banquet service operations.
- Minimum 1 year in a Food and Beverage Supervisory role.
- Previous experience with a catering sales program and a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to prioritize and organize in a constantly changing environment.
- Strong communication skills, personable and ability to motivate people to achieve a common goal.
- Detail oriented.
- Exude confidence and professionalism.
- Must have open availability to work a flexible schedule (mornings, mids, evenings) and must be able to work weekends.
- Must have a valid SIRS certificate

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
