The Centre facilitates individuals, groups and institutions representing the diversity of the community to pursue research questions and training opportunities related to the understanding and prevention of abuse. **Responsibilities**: The Research & Knowledge Mobilization Specialist will conduct literature reviews and evaluate primary research to identify best and promising practices on the prevention and intervention of workplace gender-based harassment and violence. The Specialist will coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the project, liaise with a variety of stakeholders, and ensure the successful coordination of all tasks to achieve the project outcomes. The Specialist will participate in consultations with Advisory Committees and summarize their input for the purpose of setting project priorities and planning project activities. The role will synthesize findings from multiple sources to create accessible, plain language reports, guides for human resource and health and safety professionals and presentation slides and will contribute to the development of knowledge mobilization activities (e.g. webinars, presentations, website, and social media posts) that incorporate an intersectional analysis of these issues for workplace professionals and a general public audience. The Specialist will work effectively with a team of researchers and graduate students. - Qualifications**Education**: - Master's degree in a relevant discipline; PhD in a relevant discipline preferred **Experience**: - 3 years' working experience in a related academic research environment - Experience developing plain language reports, presentations, and knowledge products - Experience supporting research and knowledge mobilization projects related to gender-based violence ¿ Skills, Abilities & Expertise: - Familiarity with established and emerging methods of Knowledge Mobilization - Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing research in an academic environment - Familiarity with techniques for assessing and managing data - Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet common objectives, improve outcomes and support work beyond one's own unit - Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards - Ability to provide solutions and ideas for improvement by using imaginative approaches where constructive thinking and innovation are required - Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy - Ability to provide guidance, support and feedback in a way that is positively received - Ability to investigate defined issues, solicit input, and suggest remedies and alternative approaches that meet the needs of the situation - Proven ability and natural inclination to develop relationships by interacting with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner - Ability to interpret and identify key results from research and to succinctly summarize research findings - Ability to write for a public, non-academic audience - Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve project and Centre goals - Demonstrated ability to research/investigate issues and resolve problems **Western Values Diversity**: **Please Note**:
