**Selkirk Pharmacy** is a community based, independent pharmacy. For 5 years we have established a friendly work environment and we focus on building long lasting relationships with our clients. We are looking for a dependable pharmacy assistant that will help with various pharmacy tasks, including the processing and filling of prescriptions. You will also undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy assistant you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job comes with high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and experience with Kroll software would be greatly beneficial.
Primary Job Functions:
i. Help patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answer questions and requests, and refer any necessary inquiries to the pharmacist. Excellent customer service is essential

ii. Process and fill prescriptions via Kroll software, including adjudicating with insurance providers when required

iii. Process payments by operating the till

iv. Help maintain pharmacy inventory by placing orders, receiving orders and putting away stock

v. Help maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

vi. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols

vii. Communicate with insurance providers and other health care providers when necessary

viii. Contribute to the team environment to ensure the pharmacy is running smoothly

Skills & Qualifications:
i. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset, as well as prior experience with Kroll software

ii. Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills

iii. Ability to multitask, and take direction

iv. Supply management skills

v. Integrity, problem solving, focus & attention to detail

Hours of Work:
Seeking FT Pharmacy Assistant

35-40 Hours **(no evening shifts required)**

Pay $18+

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
