Retail Sales Associate

Filling two different positions,

Offering Full Time position from 11:45am till 8:15 daily Monday to Friday

Or Part Time 9:30am till 1:30pm Monday to Friday

Please state if you are interested in the part time or full time position, hours are not flexible

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and merchandise products
- Helping customers fit their pets into harnesses and clothing.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Receive shipments and bring products on to the sales floor which will occasionally use of a ladder

Please note that this position will require standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds. This will also include catching and packaging crickets and/or worms for customer orders as well as catching and packaging live fish. Must be comfortable in cleaning, scrubbing and performing water changes for the fish tanks. There will be some light housekeeping chores. You will be expected to help with animal care such as cleaning and maintaining bird and small animal enclosures.

**Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills to help maintain a tidy sales floor and effectively manage inventory
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience
- Cashiering experience for the handling of cash transactions, counting accurate change and the operation of a cash register
- Ability to sell products by effectively communicating their features and benefits
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and management
- Proficient in cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and security
- Experience in animal care would be preferred and we are willing to train
