Maintenance Helper

**Role Overview**:
The Maintenance Helper will provide essential support in the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the facility. This role involves assisting with general maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment functionality, and helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient working environment. The Maintenance Helper will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to ensure the facility’s systems and equipment are running smoothly and safely.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Daily**:

- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to assist in daily maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs and fixing

equipment as needed.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Observe and adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in all maintenance

activities.

**Weekly**:

- Assist with preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including checking and

replacing filters as per the maintenance schedule.
- Help manage inventory for general maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary items

are in stock and readily available.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and statistics in line with company policies and

regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance activities, such as checking equipment functionality and

performing minor repairs.

**Ongoing**:

- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on facility equipment to minimize

downtime and ensure reliable operation.
- Assist with the installation, modification, or upgrading of equipment and safety features

(e.g., guards, emergency lighting).
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems, identifying issues and assisting with

repairs as needed.
- Regularly check the functionality of critical safety systems, such as fire alarms and

emergency lighting.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to ensure the safe and efficient

operation of the facility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times, adhering to safety

standards and regulations.

**Additional Duties**:

- Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other

supervisors.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with coworkers and

supervisors.
- Previous maintenance or facility support experience is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
