**Summary**
The Environment, Health & Safety Co-op will work closely with the Environmental management team reporting to the Manager, Environment, Health & Safety. The individual will be required to interact with teams across the organization.
**Main responsibilities will include**:
- Assist with the delivery of various ESG initiatives, and project management activities
- Coordinate data collection with facilities on specific ESG topics
- Assist with ESG data management - including designing workflows and dashboards for enabling evidence-based decision making
- Conduct market research on ESG trends and best practices
- Contribute to creating internal progress updates for senior management
- Support in the development of internal case studies, reports, and business cases
**Required**
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability topics through past internships, research projects and/ or coursework
- such as energy management, GHG emissions, and product lifecycle assessment
- Quantitative and qualitative research abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to travel manufacturing plants in Stoney Creek and Woodstock
- Report writing skills and ability to communicate complex topics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
**Desired**
- Prior experience preparing reports that incorporate market research, industry sources, and data analysis to communicate findings
- Working towards a university or college degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, or a related field
