**Job Summary**:
The Warehouse Yard Attendant is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse yard. This role involves handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials, managing yard inventory, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the yard, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The Warehouse Yard Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods and materials and ensuring timely and accurate delivery and dispatch.

- **Key Responsibilities**:_

**Material Handling**:

- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials within the yard and warehouse using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ensure materials are properly stacked, stored, and secured to prevent damage

**Inventory Management**:

- Conduct regular yard inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of materials received and dispatched.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.

**Yard Organization**:

- Maintain an organized and tidy yard, ensuring materials are stored in designated areas.
- Implement and follow yard layout plans to optimize space and efficiency.
- Ensure that all walkways and vehicle pathways are clear of obstructions.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate in safety training sessions and drills.

**Operational Support**:

- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and shipping orders.
- Support the loading and unloading of company vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to coordinate yard activities.

**Customer Service**:

- Interact with delivery drivers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide assistance with locating and loading materials for customer pickups.
- **Requirements**:_
- Experience in a similar role is an asset
- Fork Lift Certificate is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
