IT and Network Support Technician, Fort Mcmurray

**Tridon Communications is currently seeking a Fly-In, Fly-Out IT and Network Support Technician to add to our growing team in CNRL Fort McMurray.**
**About the Job**:
The IT and Network Support Technician primarily supports the IT and networking infrastructure on the client site. The individual will also be technical support for customer issues escalated other IT and Network sources.
**Must Haves**:
At minimum the successful completion of a Network Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent
- Ability to configure, and operate Linux and Windows Server operating systems
- 5 + years’ experience in Network and IT Management
- Completion of or the ability to obtain CCNA certification
**Experience and Skills**:
- Knowledge of products and services offered by Tridon Communications
- Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of networks and network design
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s License or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Continuous process improvement initiative
- Ability to work independently, and as a team player
**Physical Demands**
The IT and Network Support Technician must be able to spend the majority of the day sitting and/or standing. They may be required to stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods of time; and carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs for short distances. The incumbent will be also required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time. There is a possibility of eye and/or joint strain related to operating computer equipment.
