Backed by some of the best venture capital investors in the world, including Tiger Global, Golden Ventures, and Susa Ventures, we're looking for pioneers to help us achieve our vision. **About the Credit Investments Associate role** We're looking for an outstanding Associate to join a team that's building the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada. In this role, you'll be responsible for 'diligencing', analyzing, and driving the growth of Float's credit portfolio, specifically on our game-changing Charge Card product, as well as future credit products to come. **What your week-to-week looks like**: - Conducting thorough, and efficient, analyses of business fundamentals and financial performance for Float's potential credit investments, ranging from VC backed growth companies to longstanding, profitable Canadian businesses - Leading due diligence calls with executives (CFO, CEO, VP Finance and Controller), probing into growth forecasts, cost estimates, and runway expectations - Recommending "go" / "no-go" decisions and appropriate credit limit sizing, from $50K to $1M - Leading the submission of approval recommendations to our Credit Committee - Partnering with our Sales & Marketing teams to relay feedback on what types of opportunities are adding the most value to Float - Using our portfolio performance data to derive insights on how we can grow and shape the portfolio for optimal impact **Requirements**: **You'll be great in this role if**: - You love investing: To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a love of investing. The analysis you'll be conducting is similar to how a private debt or equity fund would think about its investments. - You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 3+ years of consulting, corporate or investment banking, or other similar experience, ideally with a bachelor's degree (though that's not required). - You relate to people extremely well: While you need to search deeply for the right answers, you'll need the ability to do so in a way that partners with our prospects collaboratively to uncover the truth, vs. doing so confrontationally. - You think critically: You don't just take others' opinions for granted; you truth seek to validate or disprove investment hypotheses. - You're conscientious: You make few mistakes in calculations or otherwise. Even while being creative and taking risks to find the best due diligence approach, you are extremely thorough and meticulous in the way you go about your work. - You've got an understanding of the market. You're commercially focused with an understanding of the market and the business we're in and have an ROI mindset. - You're eager to continue your own learning. Scrappy and voracious, you want to know the 'why' behind every answer.
