**Human Resources Administrator**

**Job Summary**:
The Human Resources Administrator will report to the HR Manager and will provide support in all aspects of HR, time and attendance and safety related matters. This role will complete routine HR/Payroll and Health and Safety transactional activities, while at the same time providing accurate, efficient, and consistent support to the business

The HR Administrator needs to understand both internal and external customer requirements and provide exceptional customer service that is timely and accurate.

**Essential Functions**:

- Assist, organize and support hourly staff full cycle hiring activities, including applicant screening, interviewing, extending offers of employment and conducting employee orientation.
- Assist with benefits administration including all employee data changes and monthly billing reconciliation.
- Administer and update job descriptions and ISO documents.
- Maintain all internal employee communication boards with up-to-date and relevant legislative materials.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment standards.
- Assist with annual safety orientation, monthly workplace inspections, and accident/injury reporting and maintenance.
- Support HR initiatives such as performance management, training and development, employee engagement, compensation, regular audits, and HR projects.
- Organize and maintain all training programs as it relates to HR/Health and Safety regulations.
- Maintain working relationships with our vendor management programs including temporary staffing, uniforms, PPE and employee services.
- Assist with all social events - internal and external.
- Monitor on the floor employee relations activities and escalate to HR Manager for resolution as required.
- Time and attendance tracking, including backup support in payroll administration
- Maintenance of all employee records and files.
- Utilizing Word, Excel and PowerPoint to generate correspondence, reports and presentations.
- Ensure legal compliance with all applicable Federal and Provincial Legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights, etc.).
- Special projects and duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous HR experience in a similar role and/or a HR post-secondary graduate with strong knowledge of all aspects of applicable legislation
- Experience within a manufacturing environment in a HR/H&S Admin role is preferred.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office
- Previous experience with HR and Recruiting software is an asset.
- Superior written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail
- Excellent research, administration, and organizations skills
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Work Environment**:

- This position will be based at the manufacturing plant, with regular interaction on the production floor.
- Position is required on-site in the office.
- Flexibility in hours to support a 3-shift operation as required
