The Ice Palace Arena Attendant is responsible for ensuring our guests receive a fun and enjoyable skating experience while ensuring their continual safety and security at all times on the attraction.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Providing our guests with detailed instructions on the safe use of the Ice Palace rink.
- Scheduling and reserving available spaces for use of the rink; including birthday parties and special events.
- Retrieving, installing and tearing down the special decking and carpeting used for special events.
- Ensuring proper skate and helmet rentals are processed and collected at the end of use.
- Ensuring proper documentation is filled out and processed correctly.
- Processing all admission transactions accurately by cash, credit card or automatic debit.
- Dealing calmly and efficiently with stressful situations relating to guests.
- Utilizing strong customer service skills while adhering to all specified safety regulations at all time.
- Operating the Zamboni and ensuring the ice is ready and safe for use.
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Experience working in an Ice Arena or related recreation facility an asset.
- Must be comfortable operating a Zamboni, have a valid class 5 driver’s license and completion of Arena Operator Level 1 is an asset.
- Experience operating a Forklift and able to lift/carry up to/over 50lbs.
- Previous customer service skills and the ability to foster positive interactions with the public at all times complemented by strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain WHIMS and First Aid/CPR training.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday, days, evenings, overnight and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.80-$17.80 per hour
