Hardscape Administrator

Ritchie Feed and Seed Inc., is one of Ottawa’s original garden centres, agriculture and landscape suppliers since the 1930’s. As Ottawa’s oldest garden centre, our roots grow deeper through the community and the years of experience show through our expertise and high level of customer satisfaction. Today, Ritchie Feed & Seed Inc. currently operates five retail agriculture/garden supply stores open all year round. Each location has a garden centre offering a large variety of plants, as well as landscape and hardscape products at our Ottawa East location, open spring to snowfall.

**Duties**:

- Preparing Sales Orders, estimates and return orders for both retail and commercial customers
- Answer Contractor and retail customer inquiries promptly
- Ordering product in a timely and responsible manner
- Assist in the logistics of deliveries to customers in a timely and responsible manner
- Give recommendations to clients regarding interlock and hardscape related products

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in the field of administration
- Product knowledge on hardscape and interlock goods is an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Experience working with the public in a retail setting
- Sense of humour is an asset
- Interpretive skills to assist customers in selecting the proper products
- Excellent organizational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
