This associate will work with a team of Canadian and US lawyers and accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to demonstrate understanding of US tax concepts as they relate to US Personal federal income tax compliance, including US income tax return preparation.
- Experience in the preparation and review of US personal tax returns for clients, including Form 1040, 1040NR, FBAR (FinCen 114) and related schedules.
- Experience in dealing with the IRS and handling client notices.
- Experience in preparing 5471 and 8621 (PFICs) are considered as asset but not required.
- US Corporate income tax knowledge a plus.
- Accountable for engagement planning with senior staff members.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant US tax experience.
- Must have the Enrolled Agent designation.
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency. Quick learner, self-starter and exudes a 'can do' attitude.
- Passion to learn and grow, and be an integral part of a high-performing team.
