**Role Responsibilities**:
The Forestry Division of the Ministry of Forestry and Parks is seeking an engaging, collaborative, and team-oriented individual with experience in resolving complex issues within wildfire management program evaluations and analyses.
- Reporting to the Director of Wildfire Transformation, the Wildfire Transformation Project Coordinator is responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive project plan to assess and enhance the wildfire management program. This includes managing project scope, integrating staff and experts, and overseeing projects from implementation to closure.
- Creating and executing a communications plan for stakeholders and Government of Alberta members. This involves providing advice on communication strategies and managing internal and external communications to address issues and ensure clarity.
- Collaborating with the Wildfire Transformation Team to prioritize initiatives, improve processes, maintain a central project document repository, and report concerns and risks to the Director.
The role functions within a complex and evolving environment, requiring the ability to effectively address both emerging and systemic issues.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Requirements:
University degree in a related field (e.g. Forestry, Natural Resources, Policy, Public Administration, Business) supplemented with 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
- Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered based on:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year education.
- Assets:
- A background in forestry with a focus on wildfire management.
- Experience in project management.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity. This position works Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM-4:30 PM, 36.25 hours a week. Travel may be required for this position.
