**Join Our Team as a Foot Patrol Security Guard**
Synergy Protection Group Inc. is looking for a dedicated and reliable Foot Patrol Security Guard to join our team at the Peel Regional Police property in Mississauga, Ontario. As a key member of our security team, you will help ensure the safety of officers, staff, and visitors by patrolling the premises and responding to potential security concerns.

**JOB SUMMARY - What Will You Do?**

Under the guidance of the Security Shift Supervisor, the Foot Patrol Security Guard will provide on-foot security patrol services across designated areas, maintaining the security and safety of the premises and responding to incidents as they arise.

**Specific Duties**
- Conduct regular foot patrols around the exterior of the property, checking for any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond to incidents and assist staff by investigating and managing situations as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff, handling inquiries via in-person communication.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors sign in and out, wear visible visitor tags, and follow site regulations.
- Monitor and control access points around the facility, reporting any unauthorized entries.
- Record visitor information and details in designated logs or systems.
- Report maintenance issues, such as broken lights, inoperative CCTV cameras, or damaged fences.
- Assist in emergency response situations, including alarm response and fire watch.
- Document shift activities in detailed logs and complete incident and follow-up reports as required.
- Enforce the Trespass to Property Act, including removing individuals who are trespassing or involved in criminal activity.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Security Shift Supervisor.

**EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - What You Bring**
- Valid Ontario Security Guard license in compliance with PSISA.
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years’ experience in a security role preferred.
- Police Foundation or Law and Security graduates exempt from experience requirement.
- Valid G driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Strong understanding of public service principles, showing fairness, respect, and sensitivity to diverse individuals.
- Knowledge of security policies, Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, Fire Code, and WHMIS.
- Ability to remain calm and resolve emergency situations appropriately.
- Physically fit to walk, stand, and patrol outdoors for extended periods; capable of occasionally lifting or moving heavy items.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using handheld communication devices (two-way radios, cell phones).
- Skilled in writing clear, accurate security reports.
