Underwriter (Hybrid)

**What you’ll do**:

- Demonstrate engagement with our innovation journey by asking questions that trigger a new or different way of thinking, by respectfully challenging the status quo and by sharing ideas for an improved member experience or process.
- Process pre-approved mortgage secured lending promotions within the pre-determined guidelines.

**What you bring**:

- Minimum 2-year diploma in finance, accounting, business or related discipline
- Five plus years in the financial services industry
- Three plus years of complex mortgage lending experience including lending to self-employed individuals or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and comprehend financial statements and tax returns;
- Self-starter who is committed to delivering key results and bringing our Vision and purpose to life;
- Great people skills, can quickly build a genuine rapport and work within and across teams to create the best solutions that will benefit members;
- Strives to continually learn; takes a balanced view to both strengths and opportunities for growth;
- Is agile, can shift gears quickly and comfortably, stays focused and effectively responds to numerous diverse challenges and demands, including during times of ambiguity;
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and can convey messages in a clear, concise and positive manner verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a high-volume environment while demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills.
