**About us**
This car wash has served the local Hamilton community since 1960 as Mohawk Car Wash. The founder and the owner decided to retire. In Jan 2021, the new management changed the name to GS Car Wash. The new management received a lot of customer feedback about their experience. We promised our customers that we would make changes and provide full customer satisfaction.
We have invested in renovating the building and driveway and ensuring the car wash equipment is well maintained. The new management has over 25 years of experience in the car wash business. We hired and trained staff to provide a professional full-service car washexperience to our Hamilton & surrounding area customers. We continue to improve to ensure our customers have a great experience with us.
**The Job**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our team at GS Car Wash in Hamilton, Ontario. This is an on-site position, available for up to 40 hours per week.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers and answer their questions in a friendly manner.
- Operate cash registers and handle money transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Keep track of inventory and restock shelves as needed.
- Assist customers with product selection and provide helpful advice when needed.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Strong basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers from diverse backgrounds
- Experience in providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week
**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour
Day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
Work Location: In person
