The Manager of the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program - North Simcoe Muskoka is currently seeking a Full Time Central Intake Screener. The purpose of the position is to ensure all relevant information is received for all incoming requests for service to the program. To provide timely feedback to referral sources where there is missing information and on the status of referrals while they are in the screening process. To utilize clinical judgment to triage requests in an effort to decrease wait times and promote a client-centred approach.

OSP is a program funded by the Government of Ontario to provide individuals who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress) with access to free cognitive behavioural therapy services.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Receive all incoming referrals, enter new referral into Greenspace and update file in a timely basis
- Review referral for completeness and contact referral sources for missing data elements; close files when appropriate
- Provide written and verbal communication to referral sources and clients about the receipt of a referral, possible wait times, and next steps
- Ensure basic eligibility for the program. Identify where basic eligibility is not met and collaborate with the Therapist / Access Coordinators in order to determine next steps
- Take action on next steps (i.e. request for more information; schedule telephone screening; send acceptance/re-direct/ wait list letters)
- Flag for the Therapist / Access Coordinators key/essential elements of referral and schedule telephone screening appointment; identify high risk situations and provide early interventions
- Provide information on other services to clients who are on the wait list where appropriate
- Support/augment the role of the Therapist / Access Coordinators
- Assist in the evaluation of key indicators

**Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Member in good standing of the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Minimum 3 years of recent and related experience in a mental health service/hospital setting preferred
- Demonstrated experience with triage and referral services
- Current experience with psychiatric diagnosis and disorders and theories of general and mental health theory
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with services within the NSMLHIN system for individuals with or without a mental illness
- Strong computer software skills
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated reasoning/analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation), and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
- You must meet the requirements of our **COVID-19 Immunization Policy** by providing proof of full vaccination, or a request and receipt of an accommodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code, including a medical exemption
