Job Summary
The Painter ensures the proper condition and appearance of all painted, wallpapered, carpeted, and tiled areas within the building (guest rooms, corridors, public areas, restaurants, public washrooms, kitchen and service areas. all mechanical and storerooms, garage areas, including all doors and door frames).
Carries a pager during his shift, checks proper operation of pager before attending to his shift and writes the number of his pager on the signing sheet.
Keeps a sufficient stock of paint and other supplies required for a regular maintenance schedule.
Maintains the Paint Shop, wallpaper and carpet storage room in a clean and orderly condition.
Cleans tools and containers used daily, before leaving his shift.
Reseals properly paint and other containers after use to prevent material wastage.
Keeps working areas clean at all times by using drop sheets or other protective covers and cleans up immediately accidental spills to prevent lasting damage to fabrics or furniture.
Observes all fire and safety regulations on his place of work and elsewhere in the building.
Carries a pager at the start of his shift and returns at the end of the shift.
Complies with Hotel Policies and Procedures including Health and Safety.
Checks daily the maintenance board for special work assigned to him.
Checks with Maintenance Managers, for the scheduling of special projects & other emergency jobs to be done.
Make requests on monthly basis for materials and tools required for special projects or normal maintenance.
